Today was my first day back at The University Of Huddersfield. It's time to embark onto my final year of the BA Hons Photography course after finishing my placement year from Set Visions Photography studio.
I believe that I have gained a range of skill sets and have better knowledge and understanding to how a professional commercial studio is run.
I gained many valuable contacts and professional relationships between employee's and clients which built up a strong collaborative team to help each other achieve outcomes and tasks from a industrial working brief.
When I started at Set Visions I was mainly shadowing and assisting staff in the studio. I was learning photographic techniques and lighting alongside getting used to their camera and software systems. Other duties included looking after models and clients, making sure the study was presentable and tidy and giving a helping hand on sets from Building / painting furniture to cleaning products and floors.
Once I gained a better understanding of commercial photography I was placed onto a LIVE job for a client. and ever since I have had the amazing opportunity to work on many more professional jobs for clients.
Below are some quick examples of some of the work I have done whilst being at Set Visions.
